• There are almost 5000 employees worldwide with almost 60% of them being engineers

• Kontron has just over 300 employees in North America with roughly a 50/50 split between the US and Canada

• The company is involved in 8 major industries; automation, avionics, communication, defense, energy, infotainment, medical, and transportation

• In 2019, Kontron purchased a fare collection business headquartered in Belgium that has been providing transit fare collection systems throughout the world since the early 70’s​
